Balancing Invoice Sets Between A/R and Sales

This sections describes how to correct discrepancies in invoice set values which may develop between the Accounts Receivable System and the Sales Order System.

There are several reasons discrepancies can occur. One system or the other may have to be restored from an back up copy which is not in sync with the other system. Items or Item Sets may have been inadvertently deleted from the A/R system. Amounts may differ between sets do to program errors.

What ever the reason, Items Sets should not be posted within the A/R system until balanced with the Sales Order System. Any discrepancy between systems can be corrected by deleting the Item Set from the A/R system and then transferring the Set to A/R again from the within the Sales Order System. Any Items which have had payments or adjustments made to them will remain in the A/R system but will appear to have been created from the application of cash or the adjustment. When the Item are transferred again, these payments and adjustments will again be matched to the related items and should then appear as originally applied. Items may also be deleted from an A/R Item Set individually if necessary or individually transferred from the Sales Order System by selecting the appropriate options.

Items may also be added to an Item Set in the A/R system by using the create option when the items within an Item Set are displayed or worked with.
